Valentine Milk Carton Treat Boxes

I followed this tutorial for the treat boxes. I also did a video tutorial. Here is the tutorial for the monster bookmarks.

I used some old paper by My Mind's Eye for these boxes. The ribbon is from Michael's and the binder clips are Fancy Pants. The monster bookmarks are from Authentique paper.

I sprinkled a variety of punched butterflies.

The sentiment stamp is Hot Off the Press.

I will be filling these with homemade mint candy.

be mine

Last year, I snuck this into my husband's suitcase for Valentine's Day last year. He loved it and he made everyone he saw look at it.

This year.
I was very much inspired by this sweet project. So, I saved it to my Valentine's Day Pinterest board and finally got busy on it this morning.

I rescued this heart confetti punch from the Archiver's closing sale. I love hearts. I love Archiver's. I will miss them.

This heart stamp and library card are from Crate Paper's Love Notes collection. I inked the edges of the heart with TH Vintage Photo and topped with Diamond Stickles.

How about a fun red ribbon closure? I wish I had cut a longer piece which would make it easier for Husband to retie himself. Oh, well.

The inside features our favorite family photo taken at The Picture People in December.

My husband really appreciates the creative process. And polka dots. He loves polka dots.

A little machine stitched row of confetti hearts.

What did you make for your SO this year? Leave a link so I can come check it out!

are we there yet?

I've been playing along with the Olympic Crop at Scrapbook Nerd. I just love the concept of the Hot. Cool. Yours. Pick a hot product/trend, throw on some cool blue, and make the sketch uniquely yours!

 photo IMG_2784-1.jpg
I used lots of Travel Girl by October Afternoon, some The Pier by Crate Paper, and old bits from Deja Views (rub on title) and Making Memories (stick pin flags).

This layout is about a sign that cracks me up every. single. time. 857 miles to El Paso. Man, that sucks LOL

Birdie Hello

I've been playing along with the Olympic Crop at Scrapbook Nerd. I just love the concept of the Finish Line Challenge. Finish a project that's been waiting around awhile!

I colored this image according to papers from BoBunny but never actually put the card together. It's been sitting in a lonely little pile for a month.

The stamp is from Stamps Happen and I colored it with Loew-Cornell pencils. The edges are blended with Tim Holtz distress inks.

cousins... enough said

My sister and I are both scrappers and we both find it difficult to scrap photos of our boys together. Her baby is "the ham" and mine is "the cheese." We've discussed how we never feel satisfied with layouts about our boys.

But I finally finished a layout about them that makes. me. happy!
I started with a sketch from Artful Delight and went with my usual wild scrapping style. I had a homemade-by-Alissa kit from last year for Counterfeit Kits that needed using. I also recently watched a process video by Emily for Hip Kit Club. I love her layers!

So, can you count the number of manufacturers on this layout?

Let's see... We have a die cut from Graphically Speaking for Cricut. The tag is also cut from CCR/Expression. The "cousins" sticker is Echo Park. The chipboard bits are Crate Paper. The patterned papers are from American Crafts and Sassafras. The punched circles are all leftovers from a previous project.

The wood polaroid frame is by Maya Road. The chipboard heart is Crate Paper. Maybe Random? Papers are Sassafras.

The clock is from The Sweetest Thing by My Mind's Eye.

if i fits, i sits

I've been designing with Smarty Pants by Simple Stories for Memorable Seasons this month.

I followed a sketch by Ashley Horton for Chic Tags. This sketch was for a challenge at the Hip Kit Clue Facebook page this week. My little guy (8 years old and 50 lbs) likes to squeeze into my lap while I'm on the computer ignoring the rest of the world. I was laughing and joking that "love hurts!" when we decided to snap a couple of photos of our ridiculous antics.

I used all kinds of bits from Simple Stories 24/7, Lily Bee Pinwheel, Basic Grey Persimmon, and Echo Park (the "well hello!" piece).

Garden Bench

I didn't do much coloring in 2013 and it's a definitely a goal to do more in 2014. This stamp is a relatively rare beauty by Inkadinkado. I colored the image with Prismacolor pencils. The papers are from Annalee by Prima.

Get Organized!- Ribbon *Memorable Seasons*

Come join us at Memorable Seasons for a month of Get Organized! We'll be sharing organization ideas and issuing challenges to help you tackle your stash.

I keep my ribbon stashed away. I scrap in a tight space so I can't have it on display. It is all on the bottom shelf here.

I keep the oversized rolls in this one container.

Small rolls and tape are sorted here.

The double decker!

The top deck has all the rolls organized by color.

Loose pieces and cards are in the bottom deck.

When a space is emptied on a card, I refill it with a loose piece of coordinating color.

Loose pieces are organized by color in plastic bags.

This month, I'm designing with Smarty Pants by Simple Stories for Memorable Seasons.

learn

I've been seeing some layouts about goals for the year. I love the concept!

I followed this awesome sketch from 3 Scrappy Boys and inspiration from the 14 things for 2014 Challenge at My Mind's Eye.

I had just three papers from The Sweetest Thing "Lavender" by My Mind's Eye. I used them all! "recorded" is a stamp from the Miss Caroline collection. "for you" is a sticker from All Is Bright. I kept this layout very simple. I think I may add notes and achievements throughout the year.

I put my top 4 things to learn by the "recorded" piece.
1. Photoshop Elements
2. Canon Powershot
3. Bathroom remodel DIY
4. Gardening- simple flowers

The rest of my goals and things to look forward to are: Make a big deal out of Valentine's Day. Read a book in March. Make a chore chart for Chance. Visit Mimi and Papa for a weekend. Bake something new every month and share. Color a new stamp every month. Pre-plan for crafty shopping. Make birthdays special. June- big trip to Washington DC. Plan-per-day Thanksgiving week.

Some of these are going to be tough. However, I love all the potential for memories, photos, and scrapbooking!

January Kit Reveal- Simple Stories "Smarty Pants"

This month, I'm designing with Smarty Pants by Simple Stories for Memorable Seasons.

I also mixed in some Tis the Season by Echo Park. I'm wild like that.

B sides.

And then I lost my mind. I just didn't understand this kit. It needed a kick. In the head.

So, I threw my stuff all over the living room floor and ended up with this.
YEAH! That's what I'm talking about! Apparently, I've been doing all kinds of shopping in the store and have so many things to choose from, including Pink Paislee, October Afternoon, and Bazzill

Can you believe those amazing prices?!!

so very beautiful

Boy, oh boy, I love Northwoods stamps. I received this beauty for Christmas 2012, colored it during the summer, and just put it on a card last week. The papers are from This and That by Echo Park.

I used Prismacolor pencils to color the image. I didn't have a Spellbinders die to fit so I drew a border with a Micron pen.

make a note

 photo IMG_2278.jpg
This layout was inspired by the December Sketch Challenge over at My Mind's Eye. I dug out some Lost and Found II/III and Stella and Rose "Hattie." "So sweet" is a stamp from Fine and Dandy. "Make a note" is a sticker from Collectible.

thank you

How about some "thank you" cards for all the Christmas cheer, fun, and gifts?

I've been eyeballing this card by Brandi Wiggins for quite some time. It was a bit late for Christmas cards so I used my version as "thank you" cards.

I found this adorable snow family of three on eBay. It's Three Snowmen by Stampcraft 440H26. It's NEW to me. The sentiment is by Hero Arts.

The image on the stamp block was colored so I followed. I like that. Really helps ease the brain work. I used Prismacolor pencils to color the image.
