Best Wishes

I've been eyeballing Marlene's card for awhile now.
I'm really into stamping but I often overlook the potential for featuring die cuts.

I finally got a wild hair and decided to give it a try.
I used papers from Carolina Breeze by Teresa Collins. This collection is quickly becoming a favorite! I love the trendy grey and yellow. The little sentiment is from Hot Off the Press. I went with straight stitching instead of zigzag. I definitely need a new white pen!

The die cut I used is from Walk In My Garden. This is definitely a cart that I rarely use so it was a great opportunity to show some love. I also appreciated the Cuttlebug embossing.

I always line the inside of my cards. I was feeling extra froggy and added a decorative corner.

Pretty Lady- Again

I couldn't shake the feeling that this card was incomplete.

 Five minutes later...
I stuffed a bow under the rose and added a sentiment from Whimsy Stamps.

Pretty Lady *Whimsy Stamps Challenge*

Come and play with us for chance to win free digital stamps!

I made this card awhile back and I know I followed a sketch... either Cardabilities or Mojo Monday, take your pick. Papers are from Carolina Breeze by Teresa Collins. The digi stamp is from Whimsy Stamps and I colored her with Prismacolor pencils.

I feel like the card is incomplete. Would you add more flowers? A sentiment?

Just for You

I discovered Leslie's beautiful blog during one of my many Google searches.
I absolutely fell in love with her elegant style. I decided to lift one of her cards
and try out this elegant-y-ness for myself.

The stamp is a digi by DZ Doodles. I colored the image with Prismacolor pencils, experimenting with contrast... Not sure how I feel about my coloring on this one. Anyway, the peachy colored CS is from DCWV and the seam binding is from 7Gypsies. The sentiment is Hot Off the Press.

This digi stamp is from Digital Two for Tuesday
The CS is also from DCWV and the ribbon is 7Gyspies.

I really wanted to maintain the integrity of Leslie's style. It was hard for me to resist inking and stickles and pattern paper and stick pins and charms... I did finally feel so much better when I added the pearls.

Thanks for visiting!

home improvement (you did it)

Inspired by the current MME challenge again!

Followed the sketch by Anam Stubbington. The papers are mostly from
Lime Twist's "Fly a Kite" by My Mind's Eye.

A few months, I discovered this lovely work of art on our antique dining table. Now, you can also see that this dining table has seen better days. However, discovering that my little guy helped himself to my embossing stylus and some wood as an artistic medium left my head spinning a wee bit. It is a picture of himself and his mommy, complete with hearts and a rainbow. He tried to tell me that Superman did it. I had to tell him, "No, YOU did it." Poor kid. Only child.

Some clouds from a Fiskars punch, accented with distress ink and stickles. I do love the current cloud trend! The two brads are from My Lil Robot by MME.

The brad on the left is also from Lil Robots. The checklist and journaling spot are both by MME. The journaling spot is propped with foam.

These fun strips were cut from the manufacturer's strip. I used quite a bit of the paper from the manufacturer's strips on this LO, including these strips, some of the clouds,
and the green polka dot piece.

"home" is from the Brown Lush collection by MME. "IMPROVEMENT" is from my Dymo labeler. The foam dotted "6" is a sticker from the Fly a Kite collection.
The decorative border is a negative from a Fiskars border punch, leftover from another project.

The tree-lookin' things are cut from Fine and Dandy "True Blue" by MME. They are leftovers from a previous project. The creature is from American Crafts.

A random piece of lace from my random basket. The lightbulbs are a stamp from Sassafras.
"100% Authentic" is a stamp from 7Gypsies.

My mojo is so disappointing these days. However, a challenge over at MME got me going last night!

Followed the challenge sketch by Anam Chubbington.
Papers are from Lime Twist "Happy Go Lucky" by My Mind's Eye.

The flowers were handmade by Stephanie. The sentiment is a digital stamp from Whimsy Stamps.

Whimsy Stamps New Release Blog Hop

Hello! Thanks for coming over from Linda's blog!

If you didn't come from Linda's blog, start here and leave comments along the way
for your chance to win free stamps!

Followed a sketch by Mojo Monday. Papers from Nerdy Bird by Sassafras. I'm going to miss Sassafras!

This adorable mouse is a digital stamp by LiaStampz for Whimsy Stamps (I like stamps). I colored the image with Prismacolor pencils and blended with the Prismacolor colorless blender marker. I didn't have a die large enough for the image so I used a Micron pen to draw a border for fun detail and definition.

This little heart is by StampArt Design for Whimsy Stamps. I punched it out with a Fiskars tag punch and added an eyelet. The baker's twine is from Soiree by Pink Paislee.

Be sure to leave a comment for your chance to win free stamps and then hop to Sarah's blog!
