I just love this Sunny Day Paper Collection by Heartfelt Creations. I used a simple layout and treated all the pieces with machine stitching and ink.

This sentiment is from Inspire Me Sentiments. I used Archival black ink on Kraft.

These two little brads are oldies from Kaisercraft.

Once I choose the stamp I want to work with, I immediately choose the paper collection I'm going to use to make the card. That way, I'm not wasting time looking for paper to match my colored piece. I always lay the stamped piece right on top of the patterned paper and color to match. These are the pencils I used on the watering can. The Light Umber is for the shading on the "floor."

One of my New Year's resolutions is to color and new stamp every month. I've never used this one before and it looked simple enough to color in the small amount of time I had to finish this card. Unfortunately, this beauty is retired. In fact, I purchased it as rubber only- no cling or wood block. I hope this stamp makes a comeback in a future collection! I used Wild Honey Distress Ink on the edges.

Joy

 photo IMG_3363-1.jpg
This layout was inspired by a sketch from Cookin Up Creations. I used my February Kit from Memorable Seasons. I love to bake! I also like to make sure that my sweets have a great presentation. No ugly treats!

The film strip is from a punch by EK Success. The corrugated title is Jillibean Soup. The hearts are from Fancy Pants and the stickers are from Carta Bella "Homemade with Love." The number stickers are from Echo Park.

I used white acrylic paint on a clear brick stamp by Prima.

under the couch

This layout was inspired by a sketch from GrandDiva's Creative Corner and Hip Kit's Mood Board. I love this old, fuzzy photo of my baby (he's eight now). These were the days when he rolled all over the living room floor and he would finally end up under the couch. We would have to pull him out and he always thought it was hilarious.

The background green is from Cut & Paste by American Crafts. I absolutely love this collection! The smaller papers are from the same collection except for the polka dots. That is from Heat Wave. The photo corners are from Memories by Teresa Collins. The "unforgetable" tab is from Basic Grey and it's spelled wrong. I don't know if I can stand it. I might have to replace that piece.

The black hearts are from a MS punch that I rescued from the Archiver's closing sale. The chipboard journaling piece is from Crate Paper. The stamped hearts are from Scraptastic and the red circle was cut from Cricut Craft Room/Plantin Schoolbook.

How about a Creature Feature? This little guy is... American Crafts? Recollections? The little clock is from Fancy Pants and was RAKed to me from Wendy.

These alpha stickers are from Everyday Poetry by Webster's Pages.

Family *Memorable Seasons*

I have a new challenge at Memorable Seasons for you today: RED- The Color of Love. Your challenge is to use red on your project.

My layout features Homemade With Love by Carta Bella. I also have bits from Fancy Pants (the cork arrow), Echo Park (the title tag and phrase stickers), and Jillibean Soup (corrugated "family" title). I combined sketches from PageMaps and Paper Secrets for this layout.

The concept of this layout was inspired by Shimelle's Review Challenge (or Seasons and Schedules). I reviewed a week we spent visiting Grammy and Grampy last summer. So. Many. Photos. But these ten sum up the week pretty weel.

I used Cricut Craft Room with my Expression to cut this heart. I inked the edges with Vintage Photo and topped with pearls from Melissa Frances.

The sketch from Paper Secrets prompted me to bust out the washi tape. I do love polka dots.

I do love these corrugated titles from Jillibean Soup! The tag is from Echo Park.

The sticker is from Echo Park. I love this picture of my dad. I'm just like him.

Valentine Cards

This card was inspired by Lynn Put. I used papers from Love Nest by My Mind's Eye. The sentiment is from Happy Harmony by Stampin' Up. The flowers are from Recollections and Prima. The leaf flourish is Heartfelt Creations Bella Rose Die. The circle and scallop die cuts are Spellbinders. The pearls are from Melissa Frances.

The card will be pair with a milk carton treat box. More about this box HERE.

I made two of these sets and they are for my son's teachers. I love them both so much!

Congratulations

I applied for the Hip Kit Club Design Team and one of the requirements was to make a card specifically for the application. I made the following quickly the morning after finishing a layout for the same application. I figured if I would be required to do 4 layouts and 4 cards every month, I better practice making fast-style cards with leftovers from my layouts.

I just so happened to need a baby shower card.
I followed a sketch by Iwana Palamountain. The lion is a stamp by Sandylion. I stamped him several times, cut out the pieces and put him back together with foam dots for dimenion. The papers are from Fine and Dandy True Blue by My Mind's Eye.

so silly

I applied for the Hip Kit Club Design Team and one of the requirements was to make a layout specifically for the application. If you haven't seen their kits before, you really should check them out.

I followed a sketch on the Cako Scrap blog. The background paper is from Follow Your Heart by My Mind's Eye and everything else is from Fine and Dandy. The star bits are stickers by MME and the other circle bits are Elle's Studio. The film strip is from Basic Grey.

Valentine Countdown

Still on my quest to make a big deal out of Valentine's Day this year.

I used a stamp set from Crate Paper's "Love Notes" to stamp cards for 14 days of Valentines. Each card has a fun activity that my little boy and I can do together.

I found this adorable garland at Michael's and hung it on the chimney with care. Then, I used those super cute clothespins to attach to attach the Kraft bags. The activities cards are inside.
