enjoy the everyday

This layout is for the Sketch Challenge over at Memorable Seasons. As usual, I started with product and added photos later.

Hmm... not my usual wild color scheme.
Papers are from 24/7 by Simple Stories. "If it's too loud" and "Sequence activated" are by Reminisce. The monster stamp is from Orbit by Crate Paper. I never get tired of that stamp. I think my favorite trend right now is hearts! And monsters.

got kids?

I love all random silliness that defines my little boy. I never get tired of it.

This layout is a scraplift of Meeting Dale by Sally. She is the Member of the Month over at Memorable Seasons and I thought it would be fun to play along in the scraplifting hallenge.

I used my June Counterfeit Kit to put this layout together. I've been itching to use it again!

Most of the papers are from Hello Sunshine by Lily Bee Design. Boy, those are some bright colors. The muted yellow polka dot piece is from Fact by Basic Grey. Those "True Story" letters are less than a half inch tall and were cut from Graphically Speaking. Bazzill textured cardstock, y'all. I have a bionic machine. Embellishments are from Crate Paper, Tim Holtz, and American Crafts. Punches by EK Success and Paper Studio. I used a Fiskars paper crimper and Tim Holtz distress ink to add texture to a punched star. "got kids?" and the speech bubble were cut from Graphically Speaking and Speech Bubbles for Cricut Craft Room.

warm wishes

I poked at this card for FIVE days. Good. Grief.

The digital stamp is from The Gallifrey Crafting Company. I colored the image with Prismacolor pencils and blended with the Prismacolor Colorless Blender marker. The papers are from This & That by Echo Park. The lace die cut is Decorative Lace Border Die from Heartfelt Creations. The banner die cut was cut from my Cricut Expression. The sentiment is from Hot Off the Press.

My little guy is bugging me to play so that's all folks!

Hummingbird Hello

It's my summer vacation! WAHOO!!

A couple of weeks ago, it came to my attention that it's been several years since I've used this old favorite hummingbird stamp by Inkadinkado. I've also been rediscovering my love for coloring and put two and two together...

Papers are from Madeline by Prima. The border punch is Fiskars. I learned how to do double bows from YouTube last night. Aren't they cute? I colored the stamped image with Prismacolor pencils. I kept the flowers simple but went a little wild on the bird. I used Pebbles shimmering chalks for the bit of blue glow around the image and Tim Holtz distress inks on the edges. I'm really liking the raw look of pencil so I didn't do any blending with OMS or colorless blender.

just the way you are

I shared my June Counterfeit Kit yesterday. Have you put one together yet?

On Memorial Day weekend, my little boy and I took a cell phone photo on the way to the pool. I was really red and splotchy from running 4 miles, so I edited the colors. When Little Guy saw the edits, he disapproved. I explained how I looked like a troll and he replied, "Mommy, I always think you're beautiful." Well, melt my wee li'l heart. In his honor, I used the original, unedited photo for this layout.
The one on the left.

Papers are from Hello Sunshine by Lily Bee Design. The circle stamps are by Close to My Heart. The sunshine flower lookin' thing is a die cut from Delicate Asters by Heartfelt Creations. The "corrugated" stars and clouds are punched pieces run through a Fiskars crimper. I brushed over them with black chalk ink to show detail. The alien is a stamp from Orbit by Crate Paper. Other embellishments are from Sandylion, Basic Grey, Sassafras, American Crafts, and Heartfelt Creations (Posy Patch flowers).

Counterfeit Kit- June

YAY! New month, new kit!

Come over and play at Counterfeit Kits!

Inspiration this month comes from Scraptastic. You can choose from either After the Storm or Destination Unknown. I'm a wild child so I combined them.

I put these papers from Hello Sunshine by Lily Bee Design in my kit last month but didn't use any of them. So, I brought them over to this month. Did you notice that I only picked ONE line of paper this month? I'm a little nervous. The Scraptastic kits had alphas, tape, banner thingies, flare, etc... I added those items to my kit but the real fun was dusting off my Cricut. I rediscovered my love Graphically Speaking! All the latest hot trends in embellishments can be found on that cart. I cut the "true story" tag, rolodex file thingies, and "got kids?" from that cart. I cut the speech bubbles from a CCR exclusive cart. I finished off my kit with some alien and grungeboard leftovers.

Oh, and I picked out stamps. They didn't make it into the photo. Eh.
